Today is Meatball day! I love well seasoned meatballs with a nice creamy gravy, it’s comfort food at it’s best!
Today I am making Baked Turkey Meatballs Creole Style with Mushroom Gravy
These meatballs are world famous, o.k. not world famous, but famous in my family!
I love using mushrooms in my gravy because it gives the gravy a nice texture.
If you don’t like mushrooms, omit them and just make the brown gravy, it’s still good!
I baked these meatballs but I also prepare them another way, which requires you to lightly roll them in flour, pan fry them in olive oil, then top with gravy and let them slow simmer for about 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes in the oven, they’re all ready to eat up!
I served my meatballs with mashed potatoes, but hot rice works very well in soaking up all that good gravy!
Enjoy!
