I’ve never used frozen hotdogs David. You can run them under water for a few minutes to easily defrost them.

Hello Cheryl, You can do one of two things. You can prepare the chili the night before as the dish only takes 5 minutes to put together. The chili will reheat in the oven as it bakes. If the chili is cold then yes you can prepare them the night before and cover them in saran wrap to prevent the bread from drying out.
