Thanks to the wonderful people at Truwhip, I received some goodies for recipe development.
First, I must start with the Truwhip. Truwhip is a container of all natural, creamy, whipped topping, deliciousness. All I needed was a bushel of strawberries, and I could instantly be in food heaven! I literally took my spoon and was eating Truwhip like it was ice cream, yes…it’s that tasty.
Now, as we all know, I love taking things to a whole new level. Hence, the Cookie Butter. For those of you who are a Trader Joe’s addict, you know exactly what I am talking about when I say Cookie Butter!
Let me explain for the layperson, cookie butter is a jar of, well, whipped cookies. Think about it, take some cookies and whip them until they turn into “butter,” now take a spoon and just eat it…eat it all!
What I did was take that wonderful cookie butter, mixed it up with a container of Truwhip and pretty much created a fluffy cookie butter mousse!
The big surprise comes from the layering effect. I broke up some butter cookies, yes…people, more butter. I layered the butter cookies on the bottom of the glass, topped it with Truwhip Cookie Butter Mousse, layered it with more Truwhip Whipped Topping and even more cookies, repeat, chill and smile!
This is up there with the best dessert I’ve ever eaten. It’s light, fluffy, buttery, it’s just pure lip-smacking, finger-licking, good!
