I will say, I love popcorn! I love popcorn so much, I have a theater popcorn machine in my home. Actually, I have a full theater room with a concession area.
Hey, my first job was at a movie theater, and that’s where my love of concessions became, well…an obsession!
My new favorite is Fleur De Sel Caramel Corn.
Popcorn is a happy food, the smell of fresh popped corn, with all the real buttery goodness!
I wanted to take popcorn to a whole new level which leads me into creating this Fleur De Sel Caramel Corn.
Fleur De Sel is a French sea salt, and it’s delicious! I found these great caramels at Trader Joe’s and I have been going to get a container every week.
They’re so creamy and buttery and they melt in your mouth.
I took half of the unwrapped caramels, melted them in the microwave for about 40 seconds, mixed the melted caramels with jet-puff and, OMG…it’s was magical.
After mixing the melted caramels and jet-puff, I placed the popcorn on a buttered sheet pan and took the remaining unmelted caramels and just pulled them like taffy, all over the popcorn.
Every bite of popcorn has this sticky goodness, that’s just plain darn delicious.
You have the saltiness from the Fleur De Sel, mixed with the creaminess of the caramels and don’t forget the butter.
I promise you, you will never go back to eating regular caramel corn again!
