I am so happy the weekend has finally arrived! All week I’ve been helping my Baby Girl get ready for her midterms.
She refuses to understand the importance of being organized and prepared in advanced.
I keep warning her that when she goes off to college, I will not be able to sit in class with her and organize her notes. She continuously explains to me that “Ma’ you’re a tiger mom…lol…AND, everyone can’t multitask like you.”
I should of never allowed her to read that article in Time magazine…lol…she did state that I am not as bad as the mother in the article, BUT…yes, there’s always a but…when it comes to school work…you and her are twins…lol!
I am so glad this is over, next time the kiddo is going to be on her own…you fail to prepare…then you’re just going to have to fail…I think I need a vacation!
O.K. back to cooking…I had to vent to someone…lol!
My Jalapeno Garlic Cheese bread is so quick and easy to put together. I just finished making it for my daughter and she loved it!
I must admit, I often make this bread for Big Goo with shrimp, but as I stated in the past, my daughter is allergic to seafood, and she frowns upon anyone eating seafood in her presence…lol!
So we sneak…usually when she’s asleep and I make this bread loaded with shrimp and sometimes crayfish.
I mixed all the ingredients together, making sure to use pickled jalapenos and not fresh, it doesn’t taste as good with fresh jalapenos.
Lathered my bread with the spicy cheese mixture.
Baked it for about 12 minutes, then I broiled it for a few minutes to brown the top!
That’s it people…a fast, simple, tasty, cheesy, after school snack for kids and adults!

This looks wonderful. I am thinking I should halve the amount of jalpenos first time around to make sure the family can handle it. Can’t remember using jared jalepenos before. Should be a fun experience. Thinking it would pair nice with any sort of chicken or fish or pizza 🙂 Bring on that gooey cheese bread 🙂
