O.K. folks, the superbowl is over and I am so happy!
I ate so much gumbo, enchiladas, dip, and anything else I could get my hands on last night, today is the perfect day to get back on track with a healthy Tropical Acai Bowl recipe.
The wonderful people at Sambazon was generous enough to send me their wonderful Acai Berry smoothie packs for product testing.
If you’re wondering exactly what is a Acai Berry?
The inch-long reddish, purple Acai berry comes from the Acai palm tree, which is native to Central and South America and packed full of antioxidants that are good for you!
What I decided to do today was create two different Acai Bowls.
I wanted a bowl with texture, so I topped my bowl with pecans, cranberries, a little mango, and sliced bananas.
Baby Girl wanted a bowl, and she wanted all the ingredients blended so she didn’t have to chew…she wanted it like ice cream.
I took all of the same ingredients and blended them together for about 1 minute, placed it in the freezer covered for about 30 minutes and the results were spectacular.
If you want a healthy Acai Berry Butter pecan ice cream then this is the recipe for you!
Regardless of which Tropical Acai Berry Bowl you decide to make, I guarantee you will love it!
It’s has the perfect balance of sweetness without the guilt.
Next step, I am about to go on the Sambazon 3 Day Purifying Cleanse!
Hey, I told you I ate a lot yesterday…lol!
