Baked Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients

  • 12 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt plain
  • 1 lemon, zested, juiced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon creole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Rinse chicken, pat dry.
  3. Place chicken and all ingredients into a large bowl, mix well.
  4. Cover, refrigerate, marinate for about 2 hours or overnight.
  5. Remove chicken from refrigerator and bake, uncovered at 450 degrees for 45 minutes, turning occasionally.
  6. Broil chicken for about 5 minutes to crisp skin.
