I’ll just get to the point about this Muffuletta Dip.
If you love Italian meats this is the dip for you!
I make this for my family and friends all of the time and it’s always a big hit!
First, the ingredients. It’s loaded with provolone, sharp, and jack cheeses.
The meats y’all! Salami, mortadella, and sopressata!
I often add other Italian meats if I’m in the mood for something a little different.
I purchase my meats and cheeses in a big chunk and chop them myself.
About 1/2 inch dice.
Let’s not forget about all of the veggies.
I included red onions, mixed bell peppers, pepperoncini, black olives, pickled jalapenos, and giardiniera peppers.
If you can find Muffuletta Olive spread you can use that instead of the giardiniera.
I added extra black olives as the giardiniera is lacking in the olive department.
Now let me explain what I do next.
Sometimes I take the veggies and saute them in extra virgin olive oil.
You don’t have to do this step. I do it based on how I’m feeling.
It makes the veggies tender and I like the texture.
Otherwise, just mix everything together and place into a greased 9 inch casserole dish and bake.
I highly suggest you double the recipe and bake it in a 13×9 greased casserole dish.
It goes very quickly!
Enjoy.
