It’s Biscuit and Gravy time!
I must say, I am not a big breakfast person, but I do love brunch!
The reason brunch is my favorite time of day is because it’s breakfast and lunch together, which means, I am getting closer to dinner.
Yes, I know my reasoning behind brunch may be flawed but I am always looking forward to dinner.
My Cheesy Green Chili Sausage Gravy with Biscuits is a dish I make for my family for brunch and/or dinner.
In this house we really don’t care about politically correct eating. We eat breakfast/brunch for dinner all the time.
I purchased Pillsbury biscuits and I knew I wanted to smother them in gravy. I decided to make a Cheesy, Green Chili gravy with a little kick!
The kick being the addition of plenty of hot sauce.
Omit the hot sauce if you can’t handle the heat, but we love spicy food, so I added extra.
I also used chicken green chili sausage which also adds to the kick!
It’s really a simple dish, after browning up the sausages in a little olive oil, add the peppers and onions to the sausage grease, season well, broth and heavy cream, gravy complete.
Cook biscuits according to package directions, and don’t forget to butter them hot out of the oven.
Smother in gravy and let’s eat!
All done, I added extra cheese before serving and even more hot sauce.
Enjoy!
