My No Bake Strawberry Banana Twinkies Cake is the perfect dessert.
This leads me to one of my favorite quick desserts, strawberry shortcakes.
Strawberry shortcakes include a fluffy cake, like a Twinkies cake, covered in strawberries and whipped cream, often topped with more strawberries.
I used Twinkies in place of the shortcakes and covered them with jell-o banana pudding.
Next, I topped them with sliced strawberries that were mixed with a little powdered sugar.
Cover the strawberries with loads of whipped cream.
Top the whipped cream with the diced strawberries.
My family loved this cake, they said it tasted like a strawberry shortcake but way better.
They loved the extra cream from the Twinkies that chilled and tasted like ice cream!
Well, it’s time to make this people, no oven required and five minutes of prep time!

Don’t believe the whipped cream is added to the pudding like the recipe reads in the imstructions & contrary to the photos. You added whipped cream later alone over berries. I corrected my recipe.

Yes Terri the whipped cream is added on top as the recipe states, you add heavy cream to the pudding.

What kind of heavy cream did you add to the pudding? I want to try this and thanks for the recipe.

Hello Virginia, I used heavy whipping cream, but I often use full fat milk, low fat milk, I use whatever milk or cream I have in the fridge. The heavy cream makes it’s a lot richer. Enjoy!

Just so I’m clear, I do not refridgerate the pudding to set first? I just pour the liquid pudding mixture over the twinkles?
creolecontessa@hotmail.com
Yes Patty, it will all chill together.
Enjoy

Hello I want to make this right now but I’m concerned. Is it hot or really spicy? I had to have part of my stomach taken out and I can’t eat really hot stuff or very spicy things. It is beautiful and I’m sure tastes just as good as it looks. Thanks so much

This does sound delicious. I was wondering though if you could use another type of pudding for those people who do not like bananas? What other pudding would you suggest?
creolecontessa@hotmail.com
Yes Michelle, Vanilla would be good.

I haven’t made the cake yet, however; do I cook the pudding and pour the hot pudding over the Twinkies or just mix it cold then pour it? Thanks, Beth
